Alex took a deep breath and ignored the irony of the comment. “Of course, I can take the meeting for you. Two o’clock will be no problem.” By that time, he’d have gnawed his wrist off if that was the only way to get out of the handcuffs. “Who’s the meeting with?”
“You’re going to have to be on your toes, boy. She’s a tricky one. Never sure what’s going on with the rest of that family, and her personality is probably boring as day old toast, but as far as security goes, she’s brilliant.”
This wasn’t the night. “Gramps, stop talking in circles. What’s her name, this paragon of virtue?”
“Lara Lazuli. Don’t forget. Two o’clock. Don’t be late.”
