“What? What’s wrong?” Enya asked, alarm creeping into her voice as she reached for the baby. Then she saw it too. “His aura. It’s…”
“Gone.” And one other thing had changed when the baby had started crying. “His eyes. They’ve turned demon-green.”
Enya met his gaze. “He’s still our son.” She pulled Angus into her arms and led her nipple to the baby’s mouth. Immediately, Angus’s cries subsided and he began to suckle.
Before Zoltan’s eyes, the baby’s Stealth Guardian aura returned, and when his son opened his eyes again as he suckled contentedly, they’d changed back to brown. All signs of the demon were gone.
“What is happening?” Enya asked.
“He was conceived when I was still a demon. I think he inherited that part of me.” He bent to Enya and kissed her softly. “I think he was angry because he was hungry. And now, look—he’s a perfect Stealth Guardian baby again.”
“Zoltan,” Enya murmured. “Will he be in danger because he’s part demon?”
He shook his head. “Every person has a little bit of demon inside him or her. We’ll teach him to control it, just like we all control that side of ourselves. He will learn to listen only to the good inside him.”
“You sound so sure.”
Zoltan smiled. “That’s because he’s inherited something that’s stronger than evil: he’s inherited your goodness. You believed in me when nobody did. You trusted me when I didn’t trust myself. You’ve made me good. And you’ve given this goodness to our son. Good will trump evil. I believe in that.”
“Good will trump evil,” Enya repeated, and pulled his head to her to kiss him.
“I love you,” he murmured against her lips, before he captured them and showed her how much.

About the Author
Tina Folsom was born in Germany and has been living in English speaking countries for over 25 years, since 2001 in California, where she’s married to an American.
In New York she studied drama at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, then moved to Los Angeles a year later to pursue studies in screenwriting. This is also where she met her husband, who she followed to San Francisco three months after first meeting him.
In San Francisco, Tina worked as a tax accountant and even opened her own firm, then went into real estate, however, she missed writing. In 2008 she wrote her first romance and never looked back.
She’s always loved vampires and decided that vampire and paranormal romance was her calling. She now has over 40 novels in English and over several dozens in other languages (Spanish, German, and French).
