Phew! Just taking a few deep breaths here…
This book was hard. Like really hard. We started off strong, but there was so much second guessing by the midway point that we had no idea if it was good or bad, if we had lost our way, if you — the readers — would even like it. I think a lot of that had to do with expectations. So many of you have been anticipating Kronus’s book for a while now, and we really wanted to make sure his book was worthy. We believe we accomplished that.
Our motto has always been to write for ourselves, and we keep to that. This was the story that was meant to be told. This isn’t a book full of action and humor (though we do hope you got a few chuckles!), it’s a deeper, more personal story of healing and acceptance.
I know some of you had voiced your hopes on who his heroine should be personality-wise. Honestly, we had no idea who she was going into this book. We started from scratch. We tossed idea after idea after idea aside. None of them felt right. Until I brought up the idea of a woman who loses her leg. It was the first one that seemed to click. She was the one for Kronus. A woman who suffered, a woman who he could relate to, a woman who balanced his impulsive, explosive nature. Kronus needed Eva, and Eva needed Kronus.
So we hope you enjoyed their story! And if you haven’t already guessed, yep! Vasil’s book, titled Fallen from the Stars, is next! Expect that book this coming Spring!
