Claimed by Noatak: Galactic Pirate Brides Book Three

She wrinkled her nose and locked her heels in place behind his ass. “What if he’s right?”

With all her strength, she pulled him into her, his shaft filling her with glorious heat. He groaned, his eyes rolling back in his head. His ass muscles tightened, seating himself deeper inside her, and her eyelids fluttered at the exquisite pleasure of it. God, she’d never imagined anything so divine. She breathed into his ear. “Fucking amazing.”

Then he began to move, pumping his hips and sliding in and out of her with excruciating control. The spot deep inside her that his fingers had lavished with attention seemed to swell to bursting as he ratcheted up the speed until finally he was slamming into her. She clutched his shoulders, her ecstasy reaching a fever pitch. Her orgasm overtook her with such intensity, she threw her head back and screamed, oblivious to anything but the tightening inside her core.

Wave after wave rushed over her, rendering her helpless. His own deafening roar echoed through the cabin, and the vibration of his orgasm shook her clear into her bones, tossing her into another impossible climax. She may’ve blacked out a moment, because she opened her eyes to find Noatak staring down at her, one broad palm brushing sweat-sticky hair from her cheek. “Marlis?”

She blew out a breath and smiled. “Can we do it again?”

      Epilogue

Noatak leaned over the bed and kissed his sleeping mate on the temple. “Time for work.”

Marlis stretched, her lovely curves writhing beneath the sheets. “Ohhh, if you ask me to remember another name, my head will explode.”

He smacked the curve of her ass. “No, it won’t.” Over the last few weeks, the Hardship’d been on a mission to contact the rest of the pirate fleet and inoculate every Denaidan they found. Even he was having trouble keeping track of names and faces. “And you’re getting better, remember?”

Marlis’s memory might never be perfect, but he’d seen a definite improvement since they’d been together. He’d asked Mek if the nanites might’ve transferred to her somehow during their lovemaking, but the doctor insisted her system was clear. The only explanation was that her contentment had subsided her PTSD enough for her brain to heal itself.

She threw back the covers, exposing every inch of her delectably creamy skin, and stretched once more, a wicked grin on her face. Although he’d had her only hours ago, his dick hardened. She knew exactly how to push his buttons. With a growl, he straddled her on the mattress, pinning her hands above her head. “Little tunrak.”

She smirked. “So, we’re staying in bed?”

Leaning down, he bit her bottom lip gently. “As soon as Mek has these nanites distributed, we’ll stay in bed for a week if you’d like.”

“Mmm.” She ran her tongue across his upper lip, making his dick even harder.

“But right now,” he said, forcing himself to stand and adjusting his fly, “We’re building a resistance.”

Her eyes grew serious, and she rose. Despite her playfulness in bed, she was a dedicated member of the cause. She pulled on her clothing and settled her gun belt around her hips. Not that she needed her weapons for these interactions. As soon as the other Denaidan captains met her and Lisa, they were convinced that mates were truly possible. With that hope, it was time to leave behind petty acts of piracy and join forces for a future. The ranks of the resistance were swelling not only with Denaidans but also other species who wanted to put an end to Syndicorp’s corruption.

Opening his cabin door, he and Marlis stepped into the hall together, ready to face whatever the universe decided to throw in their way.

Attie put on her uniform and smoothed the blanket over her bunk one last time, assuring herself the corners were perfect. She wanted to take no chances that anyone could find fault with her service, not even in the privacy of her own room. Since Marlis’s explosive escape, everything Attie did had been under constant surveillance. She was fairly certain even her toilet was bugged at this point. After several days in the brig and a series of interrogations under truth serum, she’d been allowed to return to duty. Thank God she hadn’t found Marlis’s note until afterward.

      Remember what I told you.

Marlis believed Syndicorp had staged the terrorist attack that’d caused Mom’s death. Absurd. Attie’d been tempted several times to look up the documentary on RealTime News, but resisted. If she believed she was being watched, watching a subversive bit of news would not be a good idea.

A knock at her door made her frown, and she opened it to find one of the men from the janitorial unit standing there. He held out a wristband. “I found this in recycling. Says it belongs to you.”

She accepted it, frowning at the familiar band. Marlis’s AI. The data on it’d been declared irrecoverable upon arrival. Marlis had probably etched their last name onto the back or something, and the guy thought it’d ended up in the trash by accident. Gripping the band so tightly it hurt, she said, “Thanks,” and closed the door.

Tears blurred her vision as she stared sightlessly at the back-side of the door. Stupid Marlis. How could she’ve joined up with pirates? She was now on the corp’s most-wanted list. If she ever tried to come home, she’d be executed. Not to mention the impacts her choices had on the rest of the family.

Tempted to throw the dead AI across the room, yet never wanting to let go of the last part of her sister she might ever touch, she said, “You were supposed to keep her in line, Twerp.”

Her heart nearly leapt out of her chest as a chipper voice emerged from the band. “Corporal Attie Swan, I have a message for you…”
