Two Hearts Under Fire is a thrilling and suspenseful story that follows the two main characters as they attempt to survive a series of assassination attempts. I especially enjoyed the plot of this story which has them traveling in a friend's RV and camping out in the woods while Brand attempts to unravel the dangers facing each of them. Seeing these two characters as they operate under stress is illuminating and powerful and adds to the dimension of this remarkable series. Ferguson also spotlights the all-too-common problem of abusive ex-spouses and the lengths to which they'll go to destroy their victims. Look in any paper and Claire's story or one quite like it will appear. Two Hearts Under Fire: Two Hearts Wounded Warrior Romance Book 8 is most highly recommended~

This is not the first Tamara Ferguson book I've read. I can honestly say Two Hearts Under Fire is up there with the best of the stories I've read from her to date. Two things I particularly love about this book and about all of this author's work is the immense amount of action, excitement, plot twists, and romance, she can jam-pack into what is essentially a smallish novel. I've read some books with this much excitement that are double the size and yet Ferguson loses nothing in the paring down of her work. There are no wasted words or padding in her books, which make them simple and easy to read in one sitting. In fact, it is always hard to put a Ferguson novel down and this one is no exception. The second thing I love about her writing is the sensitive and caring natures she manages to build into these giant, hulking men, many ex-special forces operatives, whom she shows are capable of feeling and expressing deep emotion without shame. I also appreciate that much of the action takes place against the backdrop of The Wounded Warrior Hospital and the school for children with disabilities, both in Crystal Rock. These are obviously twin passions of the author and they fit in perfectly with her stories. This is a great read and one I can highly recommend~

Ms. Ferguson brings us Russ Quinlan's story from "Two Hearts Unbroken". Russ knows that he is being set up to take the blame for a mission that went wrong when Sarah was held captive and injured. Sarah is now married to Brand, an OFOSI Agent. On the run, Russ goes to Brand's apartment for help only to find Claire Ellis, a friend of Sarah's. Claire has her own threatening issues and has been staying in their apartment. A masked man breaks in to the apartment and when he is killed, they flee for their lives. They begin to realize that there is a traitor in their midst as someone seems to know where they are going leading to further attacks. Brand is working from his end to find out who is involved and the story comes to a head as facts are revealed for a satisfying and amazing ending. Ms. Ferguson is one of my favorite authors and her "Two Hearts" series is a must read~

Two Hearts Find Christmas is a well-written and engrossing story that combines romance and the holidays with some serious issues including PTSD, war injuries and child abuse. I've enjoyed every one of the Two Hearts Wounded Warrior books and was pleased to have the opportunity to read and review this one. As with the others, I soon found myself happily involved with life in Crystal Rock and Dragonfly Pointe, and the remarkable people who live there and work to help returning veterans heal and start new lives. Josh, his brother, Luke, and Nina are marvelous main characters and learning of their early struggles and challenges gets the reader deeply involved in their present day lives and aware of the problems adults, who still bear the scars of abuse, face in living fully. I also loved seeing how Josh finds his dog, Ralph, who, while not entirely suitable as a service dog, seems to succeed quite well in making his new human companion smile. I'm looking forward to the next Wounded Warrior military romance book. Two Hearts Find Christmas is most highly recommended~

Josh and Nina, as characters, were easy to identify with and to root for. Both had had difficult, traumatic childhoods and Ferguson dealt with some potentially horrific subject matter with sensitivity and grace. Some might argue the romance plot is fairly formulaic, but Ferguson gives much more depth to the stories with her complicated backstory and continuity of history through the years. Definitely Two Hearts Find Christmas is a chilling reminder of the evil that does exist out there among us, but also a sweet reminder of the sanctity and power of true love, plus the indomitable human spirit that triumphs over adversity and works for good.~

One fateful night, not so long ago…
Crystal Rock, Wisconsin
It was the end of a crazy summer. Ashley found it difficult to believe she’d finally graduated high school and next week she would be on her way to California and begin college at USC.
