“None of this would have happened without you, Maddalyn,” Serenity said. “You can’t say that about any of the rest of us.”

      “Luradinine,” I pointed out.

“The first club would have been in Sudden instead,” she said. “You, Maddalyn.”

“Only if Pippa talks about the name.”

      “Deal,” said Pippa.

“And Luradinine talks about the location.”

      She laughed. “Briefly.”

“And someone talks about the games.”

      “Me?” Kalorain said.

“I want to talk about the joy of dance,” Serenity said.

“And I want to talk about how this represents my dream,” Tranquility said.

“I want to talk about friendship,” said Margotain.

“But you start us, Maddalyn,” Luradinine said. “Everyone is waiting.”

“All right,” I said. I stepped forward and looked out at all the smiling faces. I raised my voice.

      “Welcome to Twinkle!” I yelled.

“Incoming communications,” Melina told me. A moment later, I began screaming.

“What?” Mama yelled. She ran forward. “Maddy. Maddy!”

“I’m fine,” I said. “I’m fine.” I spun to my friends. “Urban Green arrived. Talitha is here! She asked if we built the club yet.”

Serenity, Tranquility, and Pippa all, each in her own way, expressed the joy, then Tranquility said, “That woman has a sense of timing, but she won’t be here for a week, and we’re not waiting. Now would you please get this going?”

I turned around. “I’m sorry,” I said. “Welcome to Twinkle. Pippa, tell us about the name.”
