Matthew huffed out a soft laugh. “Go to sleep.”
Matthew had almost drifted off when Ash’s voice jerked him out of his daze.
“I’m hungry.”
“Are you serious?” Matthew asked, because God, the very idea of getting up—
But then he thought of Ash and what Ash would’ve done in his place and he pushed himself upright in the bed. He had demanded submission from Ash; now his most important obligation was to care for him—even if that meant he didn’t get to sleep when he wanted to. “I’ll be right—” A huge yawn cut him off.
“The green apples,” Ash said. “I like the green ones best.”
He trudged across the room and had just made it to the door when Ash added, “Bring the red ones too.”
Matthew laughed. He’d never quite imagined how needy a wolf in heat might be.
