Thank you to Brian Tyson and Michael Van Maanen of Kreab Gavin Anderson for their invaluable knowledge, support and friendship.
I’m grateful to the government officials who were involved in my case. In particular, I thank Colonel Peter Murphy, Federal Agent Detective Sergeant Michael Murray and Tim Kane for their help and support after I was released, which mentally prepared me to return home.
Thanks to my doctors – Sandra Rizzo and Desley Fraser – for their amazing support over the past eighteen months.
Finally, thank you to my co-authors – Nicky and Kellie – for their willingness to share this story, and for sacrificing time with their families to tell it. I couldn’t have done it without you.
MICHAEL JOSEPH
