“My father and mother came up with Little Rose. She needs to be able to be part of it. That was their project.”
He carried her back to the elevator and the rest of the way to the living room.
She blinked at the bottle of apple juice on ice and the picnic on the soft carpet in front of the fireplace where they could watch the snow fall from the cabin’s big panoramic windows.
They sat in front of the fireplace. “I thought you’d want a snack,” he told her.
She grinned and picked up a piece of fruit. “I do. I can’t seem to stop eating.”
“You’ve been very good about sticking to healthy eating.”
She shrugged. “I want to be a good role model for our daughter.”
He got on one knee, pulling a ring out of his pocket. “You’ll be an amazing mother, Isa. You’ve made me immensely happy as my mate. I just want to go full circle and make you my wife. Will you marry me?”
She nodded and wiped at the tears in her eyes. “Your daughter is making me emotional. These are happy tears! I love you!” She threw herself in his arms and sat on his lap, watching him slide the ring on her finger. It was a gorgeous sapphire in a platinum setting with white diamonds to either side.
“It’s not as beautiful as your eyes, but it complements them,” he said, kissing her deep and stirring her unending hunger for him.
“Have I told you how you say the sweetest things?” She kissed him back, hugging herself tight to his body. Her heart filled with happiness. She’d found her own shifter. Beast loved her. He showed her every single day with his actions.
“You have,” he said, tugging on her big fluffy sweater, “but I’d rather you show me.”
“Have I also told you that you’re a pervert?”
He grinned, pushing back into the pillows by the fire. “Every single day, love.”
