Story Notes:
The idea for this story came from an image. I had a dream about being lost in a garden; a garden that was impossibly overgrown and intent on not letting anyone or anything out. As usual with story ideas, it wouldn’t go away, and I found myself wondering who was lost, and what would happen to them, and why the garden was so strange – from there it was a short jump to the story as told; a woman who’s lost her own child becoming obsessed with the fear of a garden that seems to be calling to her – and how it houses something that keeps calling to her; something she can’t long resist.
