"Crystal."
"Good." She looked from one of them to the other and her expression softened. "Go to sleep, Ms. Taylor."
They watched until the nurse disappeared, then Raine scooted over in the bed. "Come up here with me."
"I don't want to hurt you."
"You won't. Sleep with me."
"I can sleep in the chair."
"Please."
He lowered the bar on the bed, climbed in next to her, then pulled it up again. "I can't refuse you anything."
"Good to know," Raine said, her heart expanding until she thought it would burst out of her chest. "I promise not to take advantage."
Connor twined his fingers with hers and kissed her one more time. "That's disappointing. I was counting on you taking advantage of me regularly. And thoroughly."
"Mmmm," Raine said as she snuggled into him inhaled his scent. "I'll get right on that. As soon as they let me move my arm."
"I'll hold you to that," he whispered into her ear.
She cuddled into Connor and let his scent surround her. Let herself relax into his arms. It didn't matter that they were crammed together in a narrow hospital bed. They were together. That was all that mattered.
As long as they were together, nothing else mattered.
As long as they were together, they were home.

About the Author
Two-time Rita finalist Margaret Watson published her first book in June, 1991. Since then, she has written thirty books for Silhouette Intimate Moments and Harlequin Superromance, as well as four titles in the Donovan Family series.
Margaret’s books have won or been finalists in many contests, including the Colorado Award of Excellence, Desert Rose Golden Quill, Holt Medallion, and National Reader’s Choice. Her most recent book, TRUST ME, was released in November, 2014.
When she's not writing, Margaret practices veterinary medicine. She lives in the Chicago area with her husband, three daughters and a menagerie of pets.
