His silver eyes glittered with naughtiness as his hands caressed her. He looked up at her through dark lashes. “Feel good?”

“Mm-hmm.” She closed her eyes and submerged herself in Hunter, his scent, his touch.

He sucked at her inner thigh and she gasped, liquid arousal spreading through the sensitive folds of her pussy. She parted her legs for him, the short stubble on his cheeks rubbing against her swollen lips. Her blood heated as he kissed her there, his tongue delving inside, drawing her juices through the narrow slit. He paused and waited until she opened her eyes and met his gaze. “Tell me if you need me to stop, Sam.”

“I don’t want you to stop, Hunter. I want you to wash the bad away.”

Without a word, he nestled himself between her thighs again and plunged his tongue inside her, drawing it up and over her clit. He stroked her, making her moan and writhe. Gently spreading her apart, his thumbs rubbed over the sensitive folds as he slid a finger inside, then another. She felt him firmly, slowly stroke her G-spot as his tongue circled and rasped over her swelling clit.

“Rub your breasts, baby. Rub those gorgeous nipples for me,” Hunter mumbled, his voice vibrating against her cunt. “Damn, I wish I had more hands.”

“Me too,” she panted as she cupped her own breasts, rolling her nipples between her fingers.

He chuckled against her and added another finger. She groaned and arched her back, crying out at the sharp pleasure that fired through her. His long fingers stroked her more intently, sliding deep insider her then withdrawing slowly as he took her clit between his lips, sucked gently, giving it little flicks of his tongue.

“Oh God, Hunter,” she groaned as he sucked harder. She bucked up as the climax slammed through her. He didn’t stop until she collapsed in a panting heap.

He kissed his way up her body, pausing at her navel and her breasts. His mouth closed over one pert nipple. His hand molded the other breast, and she moaned as his thumb rasped over it. The ripples cascading over her didn’t have a chance to subside before they grew again. Hunter slid farther up her body, his mouth possessing her, muffling her moans as he entered her in one smooth stroke.

The weight of Hunter covering her body, pressing her into the soft mattress, felt more than wonderful. He kissed her bruised cheek, whispering sweet things in her ear. His hand supported her head as his hard body, slick with sweat, slid over hers, the length of his cock moving inside her with long, slow thrusts. With every stroke, waves of pleasure flowed over her, each one deeper, more powerful, pushing her toward another climax.

Samantha wrapped her legs around his and tilted her hips, taking him deeper, reveling in the power of his desire for her. Feeling his body tremble, the muscles in his back ripple as he struggled to take it slow, intensified her own passion. Her hands traveled downward to grip his tight ass, pulling him in deeper, arching her back more. She whimpered, not sure if she could take this pace much longer. The sensual ache emanating through her body made her yearn for release, but at the same time the friction of Hunter’s substantial cock slowly pumping felt so good, she wanted it to last forever.

He withdrew slowly then plunged into her. She arched up her head, fell back on a cry. “My Sam,” he moaned against her neck, sucking and licking as he picked up the pace.

“Yes,” she cried as he grasped her hips and rose to his knees. She gasped and bucked up, her hips pistoning up to meet his driving thrusts. “Hunter,” she pleaded breathlessly. His ravenous mouth moved over her jaw, her neck, her mouth, their tongues tangling, lips nibbling.

She wrapped her legs around his hips and her arms around his neck and hung on as sensations burst along every nerve cell. Hunter stiffened and plunged deep inside her, calling her name, his body trembling. She moaned and cried though her orgasm as it swept over her in long undulating waves. Hunter groaned, filling her with hot jets of his cream.

He rolled over, taking her with him. She lay on his chest, listening to his heart pound.

“Sam,” he said hoarsely after his heart rate slowed.

“Yes?” He rolled onto his side but kept his arms around her. He made her feel safe and cherished. She didn’t want anything to take away that feeling.

“Look at me.” Reluctantly she lifted her face to look into his eyes. “Sam, I love you.”

Samantha held her breath and blinked. “You do?”

“I think maybe I always have.” He kissed her forehead and then her nose. “I know I always will.”

Time stood still and her heart felt like it may expand out of her chest. “I love you, Hunter. I know I always have and I know I always will.”

Hunter feigned an exasperated sigh. “Woman, does everything have to be a competition?”

“No, not if you just accept that I know best.”

With a growl, he rolled over on top of her and tickled her until she begged for mercy. Soon the tickles became caresses, and kisses and she was begging for anything but mercy.

      * * *

“Time to get up.” Hunter nosed aside Sam’s hair from her nape and kissed the sensitive skin gently.

Sleeping on her stomach, her body relaxed and flushed, she was a temptation he was hard-pressed to ignore. Getting her back to the house after the arrest and general cleanup of the traffickers and terrorist cell had been hell. Unfortunately, Gabriel had caught them trying to sneak away and had delayed them by several hours. In the debriefing, they discovered what Hunter had suspected after looking at the files on the flash drive. Lillian had discovered the unscrupulous activities and shared her information with Uncle Zachariah and Dottie. Lillian had discovered the unscrupulous activities and shared her information with Uncle Zachariah and Dottie. When Lillian died and Uncle Zach got more aggressive in his nosing around he must have giving Dottie the flash drive of information for safe keeping. Then Uncle Zach was killed. Dottie started asking questions and met the same fate.

Reports were filed and the cleanup was nearly done, but the investigation was not closed. Henderson’s corruption was long-reaching but he was not the main source. He was just one component of a criminal machine. It would take more probing, more reconnaissance to eliminate the entire organization. But they had done all they could on their end and were finally allowed to head home.

Home. It had been a long time since any place had been home.

“Sam,” he whispered against her neck again, his hand moving slowly over the curves of her rear as he pressed her to wake up. He had plans, and they had an appointment, one he wasn’t about to cancel. He had spent the last hour setting it up and getting everything ready. There was no room for excuses, no way for her to wiggle out of it.

“Wha…?” she mumbled into the pillows, trying to burrow deeper in the mattress to escape.

“Wake up, baby.” He chuckled as she scooted away from him.

“Go ’way,” she growled, pulling the pillow over her head.

Hunter pulled the pillow away, amazed as he always was, how his heart could just soften, melt with the smallest things she did. She fascinated him, captivated him, made him so damned horny that half the time he was in a haze of lust. And he loved her. Loved her in ways he didn’t think was possible.

“Sam, this is important. Wake up.” He pulled the blankets from her as she tried to burrow under them once again.

She flopped over on her back. Her firm breasts peaked with those pretty little berry nipples, making his mouth water. Her eyes were narrowed in warning.

“The house on fire?” she asked huskily.

“No.” He shook his head, his gaze going to those perfect breasts once again.

She cleared her throat. “You got produce or strange sex toys you’re wanting to try out?” Her eyes gleamed in interest.

      “Nope.” He grinned

“Oh. Well, I’m going back to sleep then.” She went to flip back over.

“Oh no, you don’t.” He laughed, gripping her arms and pulling her up in the bed. “Get showered and dressed. I laid out that pretty, cream-colored dress that was hanging in your closet, and everything else you need. We’re in a hurry.”

She grumbled under her breath, pushing her hair out of her eyes as she stared up at him. “What’s the hurry? A dress? Where the hell are we going that I need a dress?”

“Church.” The word hung in the air around them as she shook her head in confusion.

      “Today’s Sunday? Are you sure?”

      “Today’s Friday.”

“Are you trying to deliberately confuse me?” She frowned then, the sleep slowly clearing from her eyes. “Why are we going to church, Hunter?”

      “To get married.”

“Oh, that’s okay th—” Her eyes widened, then she blinked, as she swallowed tightly. “Married?”

“I won’t let you back out of it either, Sam,” he warned her fiercely. “We’re getting married.”

“Married?” she whispered, shaking her head. “When did you propose?”

“Propose? No way.” He shook his head, fighting his irrational fear that if he didn’t marry her now, then something would happen, some way, somehow, someone would destroy the chance.

Hunter wasn’t a fool. Had Novak managed to actually rape her, then Sam would have healed from it. But she would have left Hunter, would have fought any chance they had of surviving it together. If he tied her to him and did it now, then no matter what happened, she was committed. She was his.

“Hunter.” She shook her head. “You’re supposed to propose,” she protested as he pulled her from the bed. “You know? Wine, a ring, all that good stuff?”

“Rings are at the church. We’ll celebrate with wine afterward. Now shower.” He pulled back the door and started the water.

“Hunter, I want to marry you. But why now?”

He stilled, his heart lodging in his throat as he sat down slowly on the edge of the tub. He stared up at her, his heart breaking as he remembered her screams. She had screamed out his name, begging him to help her. If Jacob’s lady hadn’t been there, he wouldn’t have Samantha now.

“I can’t lose you, Sam,” he whispered then, jerking her to him, his face buried at her stomach as he fought the emotion surging inside him. “Do you understand me? No matter what happens, no matter what anyone else does, you’re my heart. You’re my world.”

“What time is the ceremony?” she asked softly, sliding down until she rested on her knees, staring up at him with a wicked glint in her eye.

“Two hours.” He touched her face, marveling at how deeply he loved her.

“So when did you intend to make the actual proposal?” She arched a brow curiously.

      Hunter grinned. “During the honeymoon.”

She shook her head, laughing up at him then. The sheer pleasure and love he saw in her filled his world.

“Marry me, Sam,” he whispered, needing to know it was what she needed as well. “Please?”

      “Yes, Hunter. I’ll marry you.”
