“Poor mate.” I hold out my hand to Ash. “I hate to see you suffer.”
Holding my hand in his, Ash leans down to kiss me. I close my eyes in anticipation. My toes are ready to curl in delight.
His warm lips touch mine, sending waves of the heat that I crave radiating from him through my body. I want more. I reach up to pull his head down to mine.
“I love you. Being with you is all I want. This isn’t suffering,” Ash speaks against my lips. His smile presses into my mouth. “But my brother running around Icy Cap naked sure is.”
I love my mate. Twin or not, he’s the only one for me. I glance at the door blocking my hospital room. “Any chance that door has got a lock on it?”
He shakes his head, and his eyes darken on me. “I bet the supply closet does.”
“Let’s go.”

I’ve always been fascinated by life in the far north. I pester my author friend Rebecca Thomas for details about Alaskan life frequently. I was thrilled when she asked me to join the Alaskan Den Men Collection. Not only have I gotten to work with some truly amazing and talented authors, I loved discovering the world of the Icy Cap Den werebears.
Forbidden love stories are among my favorites. Ash and Meg were a fun couple to write about when I figured out how much they wanted to be together and how difficult that would be for them. And let’s face it, writing about an alpha shifter who runs around mostly naked was no hardship.
My second Icy Cap story, Mine to Bear, introduces Ash’s twin brother, Dane. His journey for his mate involves a fling, past secrets, and enchanted bear traps. This story also introduces Gary the ghoul. I love this guy so much it’s silly.
