Muna gave a small smile at the urgent tone in his hushed whisper.
I'll let him sweat it out a little more, she thought as she surveyed all the wonderful friends and family she was surrounded with.
She saw Darlah hosing off a mud splattered Joey.
Perre was icing his groin as Magenta flitted about him worriedly, Marre snickering at Perre from her side when she wasn't looking, stealing kisses from her as much as she'd allow.
Jaye had trudged off with Darey, probably to complain about his crazy parents. Tawn and Ponne were admiring Jenne's new friend, a snake he'd named Stuart.
Exinn was putting antiseptic on his ankles were Pudge had managed to get a grip and sink his dinky little teeth in, Ophelia playing nurse as she 'supervised'.
"No, love, don't you worry any. Your naked room is quite safe," Muna chuckled as Kenvey let out a breath of relief, patting his hand in reassurance.
"Grandma, Grandma, come quick! Jayelah puked all over Daddy and Mama can't find the camera!" Eilahna exclaimed excitedly, Coley jumping up and down beside her, identical looks of glee on their faces.
"Top drawer in the bureau," Muna told them, a fond smile on her face as she watched them scamper off to wreak havoc.
Yep, this is the life, she thought. This is the life.
