  “We have to finish this,” Sebastian said.

  “Finish what?”

  “Up to now, we have waited for Chastel to make a move against us. That has given him the upper hand each time. We are dancing to his tune.” Sebastian’s lips tightened as he spoke the bounty hunter’s name. “It’s time we took this fight to him.”

  “You mean you want us to go on the attack?” Madden asked. “That goes against the reason why the goddess Angrboda created the brotherhood. We are a defense force.”

  Sebastian swung around to face him. “He killed Hendrik. I’m tired of being the nice guy.” He looked back at Cindy. She was attempting to smile at something Samson was saying, but her full lower lip wobbled and tears glistened in the blue depths of her eyes. “I’m going to make Chastel pay for what he’s done to her . . . To all of us.”

  Madden nodded. Sebastian was right. Chastel would keep going until they stopped him. “I’m with you. Let’s do this.”
