"Wh-wh-wha?" was all he could get out while we climbed high into the sky.
"Say you’re sorry for calling me crazy," I demanded.
"Carolyn?" he shrieked.
I did a barrel roll that made him scream louder.
"I’m sorry. I’m sorry."
"Say you’re sorry for telling me I need a therapist."
"Yes, yes. Stop. Put me down."
"Tell me you’re sorry for my Barbies!" I shook him a little for that.
Girl Power!
"Are you nuts?" he asked.
"Wrong answer," I tsked at him and pointed us to the ground in a fast dive.
"Aaaaaaah! I’m sorry about your stupid Barbie dolls," he screeched and I pulled out of the dive and leveled off.
Reed winged alongside and gave me an amused glance. "You know, for one who never liked flying, you’ve taken to it a great deal."
"Put me down," Evan demanded.
"Right now?" I let go with one hand.
He screamed again and clutched at me.
"You have a sadistic streak," Reed said. "I like that."
"Baby, you ain’t seen nothing yet." I smiled at my mate. "Evan this is Reed. We’re getting married."
"Big dragon," Evan said, his eyes wide.
"Are you going into shock?" I asked and steadied my brother with both hands again. "Want to see how fast I can go?" I zoomed ahead of Reed, shaking my tail at him.
Reed roared and gave chase.
Evan was yelling himself hoarse.
"Oh, shut up." I shook him until his mouth closed with a snap. "I’ll put you down once we get to Mom and Dad’s."
"Mom and Dad live in Florida." He gawked at me. "We’re in DC."
"Oh, that reminds me." I banked on my wing and tilted Evan. "I wanted to see the Lincoln Memorial before we go."
