    airport?

      OLIVER

      Well... Uh...

      (A beat)

I’m not really sure. My brother was the one who bought the ticket. I sort of figured the airport wouldn't be that far away so I'd walk

      Rose

I’m afraid you won’t be catching your plane, or any others today, if you do that... I can order you a cab if you want

      OLIVER

Oh, right... Thank you very much...

      (A beat or

      two as Rose

      picks up

      the telephone

      receiver)

I hope that a hefty tip was included on my bill

      She smiles at him.

      Rose

      (Speaking into

      the phone)

Hello, yes, I’d like a taxi from the Hotel Nelson A.S.A.P... The airport... Yes, okay... Bell... Thank you

      (Putting down

      the phone and

      looking at

      Oliver)

Should be about 10 minutes if you want to have a seat

      OLIVER

Thanks so much for that, much appreciated

She smiles at him again and Oliver sits down and looks at his watch. It is 2.08pm.

      FADE TO:

      EXT. HOTEL NELSON - DAY

Oliver walks out of the hotel carrying his suitcase. He is following the TAXI DRIVER - a round-faced man in his early forties.

      CUT TO:

EXT. PRINCE OF WALES ROAD - DAY

They walk along Prince of Wales Road to where a taxi is parked. The taxi driver takes Oliver's suitcase and puts it into the boot of the car as Oliver opens the door and gets into the backseat. Oliver pulls the door shut as the taxi driver shuts the boot and walks around to get in the front of the car.

      CUT TO:

      INT. Taxi - day

The taxi driver looks around at Oliver.

      TAXI DRIVER

Straight to the airport is it?

      OLIVER

      Certainly looks that way... Thanks

The taxi driver starts the car and drives away along Prince of Wales Road and away from the hotel. Oliver sits, looking out of the window as the taxi driver takes him swiftly through the city. He watches as Prince of Wales Road, Rose Lane, Cattlemarket Street, Golden Ball Street, Westlegate, St Stephens Street, and Chapelfield Road all go by.

      Cut to:

      Ext. Grapes hill - day

The car stops at the traffic lights on Grapes Hill and then turns up Dereham Road.

      CUT TO:

      INT. TAXI - DAY

Oliver sits in the back of the taxi, which has stopped due to traffic. Oliver winds a window down to look out and ahead to see what reason there might be for the hold-up. Then he looks out of the window and across to the other side of the road. Something catches his eye. It is the road sign for a smaller road running off from Dereham Road. The sign reads “Waterworks Road.”

      EMILY

      (V.O)

Is it time for the waterworks?

      OLIVER

      Jesus!

      TAXI DRIVER

      What’s that mate?

      OLIVER

Uh... Well... A change of plan.

      (Pointing towards

      the ‘Waterworks

      Road’ sign)

Do you know what roads lead off from that one?

      TAXI DRIVER

Well, let’s see... There’s Mile Cross Road, Drayton Road and Heigham Street

      OLIVER

      Oh. Right

      JOHNNY

      (V.O)

Imagine it, imagine things and make them real

      TAXI DRIVER

Are we still going to the airport then mate?

      OLIVER

      (A beat or

      two)

No, could you take me back to the hotel, please?

      TAXI DRIVER

      All right. You’re the boss

      CUT TO:

      EXT. DEREHAM ROAD - DAY

The traffic clears a little and the taxi travels on to a roundabout. It goes all the way around and back the way it came along Dereham Road before eventually coming to a stop at the Grapes Hill traffic lights.

      CUT TO:

      INT. TAXI - DAY

Several moments pass as Oliver looks around. He leans forward to talk to the taxi driver.

      OLIVER

What road are we on now by the way?

      TAXI DRIVER

      Dereham Road mate.

      (Pointing to

      his left)

      Barn Road that way

      (Pointing to

      his right)

Grapes Hill that way... And directly in front of you is St Benedict's Street

      EMILY

      (V.O)

Don’t forget to remember the Saints; Benedict, George, Andrew and Gregory

      OLIVER

      (To the taxi

      driver)

Okay... So once I’ve dropped my stuff off can you bring me back here please?

      CUT TO:

      INT. HOTEL RECEPTION - DAY

Oliver strides into reception and up to the desk.

      Rose

Did you forget something Mr Bell?

      OLIVER

No, nothing like that... I'd actually like another room please... Or the same room or whatever’s easiest really

      Rose

      Certainly Mr Bell

      OLIVER

Okay... Could someone take care of my suitcase? I’ll be back later...

      (Walking away

      from the desk

      and then

      turning back)

Oh yes... If my brother calls, could you tell him from me to go fuck himself

      ROSE

It would be my pleasure Mr Bell

Oliver walks out of the hotel.

      CUT TO:

      EXT. DEREHAM ROAD - DAY

The taxi stops in a lay-by.

      CUT TO:

      INT. TAXI - DAY

Oliver leans forward from the backseat.

      OLIVER

What exactly do I owe you, mate?

      TAXI DRIVER

      That’ll be 20 quid please

      OLIVER

      Here...

      (Handing over

      the money)

Here’s fifty. You’ve helped me more than you know

He gets out of the taxi.

      TAXI DRIVER

      Thanks mate

      OLIVER

      Cheers

Oliver shuts the door to the taxi and it moves away.

But... Worst of all it would be a horrific state, If you... Forgot to remember on a day in September... The name...

He sees another street sign and stops walking. The name written on the sign is Colegate.
