Shane chuckled. “She’s not my girlfriend.”

      “No?”

“Nope! I don’t have girlfriends, Sammy. That’s not my scene.”

      “Shane the bachelor, huh?”

“If I can help it.” He laughed. “It’s like why settle for a pizza or Italian food when you can have American, Chinese, Indian, Mexican…you know, the works.”

Samantha’s eyes widened. “Are you serious? You’re comparing women to food?”

He smirked his devilish grin. “Come on, little Sammy. Let me escort you to your home.”

Shane took her hand and wrapped it around his own arm, enjoying the proximity. He knew he was going to get burnt by his irrational behavior, but at that moment in time, he didn’t give a damn about anybody but the girl next to him.

      About the Author

Never the one to back away from a challenge, Jalpa Williby pushed herself to excel. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois, Williby went on to earn Masters in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University. Her passion for helping her patients led her to a specialty in neuroscience, focusing on children and adults with neurological impairments.

Throughout her life, Williby’s love for books has never faded. She creates an unforgettable world with unique characters in her stories. Williby uses her writing to not only provide an “escape” for her readers, but hopefully, inspire them as well. Soon after publishing her first set of books, she has quickly become a bestselling and multi-award winning author with two gold medals and one bronze medal from Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards. Her more recent book, My Perfect Imperfections, has received rave reviews, including from Kirkus Reviews. Williby can be found either writing, reading, enjoying nature, or simply being silly with her family.

A Few Words From The Author

So many times, we search for answers

      So many times, we wonder

Wonder about the meaning of life

      The choices we’ve made…

      Life flies by us fast

The days are filled with “stuff”

      Work, bills, chores, responsibilities

      They will never disappear…

      Stop, just stop

      Take a breath

      Close your eyes

      And feel, simply feel…

Yes, I may be a dreamer

      Maybe a fool

      But my heart smiles

      And my soul sings…

      So don’t be afraid

      Dream big

      Laugh out loud

      And find your meaning…

      The meaning of life.

May I make one last request? If you enjoyed Fate’s Cry, I would be ever-so-grateful if you’d leave a review on Amazon. Believe me, each review matters. Thank you so much for all your support.
