Typing the end on this book was an emotional experience for many reasons. One, this is my SEVENTH book in less than a year. In fact, the day I chose to publish this one is the day I published my FIRST book in 2019—so that is very special for me. But secondly, this book challenged me SO much as an author. I almost deleted it all around the 50% mark, no lie! I was frustrated with the story, I felt like I was forcing the words, and there was something about it that just wasn’t clicking. So I walked away for a few days, and when I came back, the story poured out of me.
Cash is, hands-down, my FAVORITE book boyfriend of mine to date! Yes, I said it! But getting in his head and having him surrender to this woman when he’d fought that his entire life was an amazing thing to see progress in my mind, and then put on paper. And Piper. Her story was so intricate and I loved how strong she remained throughout the entire book. The two of them—gah! They’re just my favorite! Hands-down! I am in love with this series and will be sad when it’s over, but I have SO many more stories to tell, and I hope you’ll continue on the journey with me.
