In collaboration with Susanna Malcolm:
The Misadventures of a Titian-Haired Goddess and an Outrageous Hellion
I am indebted to Danièle Cybulskie, friendly neighborhood 5 Minute Medievalist, for keeping me from making a complete boob of myself on the historical front. (Or at least if I did make a boob of myself, it’s because I didn’t ask you about a historical fact first – or I conveniently didn’t listen to you.) Thank you for always being there with a swyving whoreson when I need one!
Special thanks as well to Mer McGuire, who is exceedingly generous with both her emotional support and her skin care tips. (Which are sort of the same thing, when you get right down to it.) You are a true jewel among women. I hope this has enough angst for you.
Covering everything from emotional support to random horse-related fact-checks to actual betareading is the fabulous Laura Freaking Kinsale. I’ll never write a book worthy of your generous time, effort, and talents, but I thank you for them nonetheless, from the bottom of my heart.
And as ever, the bulk of my thanks goes to Susanna Malcolm, forever setting everything aside to read (and re-read) every word at the drop of a hat, forever putting up with my ongoing meltdown as this book attempted to murder me, and forever greeting my text messages with “new number who dis?” Seriously, I wouldn’t be a writer (much less an author) without you, and this book – as all my others – wouldn’t be worth reading without your input. Thank you times a billion.

About the Author
Elizabeth Kingston lives in Chicago, where she can be found gleefully subverting tropes and inventing new ways to make fictional people kiss. When there's time for it (hint: there's always time for it) she shouts loudly about the intersection of historical romance and white supremacist narratives. Lipstick, skincare, and baked goods all rank high on her list of Other Interests. She sincerely hopes you enjoy her writing, and that you'll share it with others.
