“You don’t look so bad yourself.” Dahlia tugged the long sleeves of his white shirt. She’d picked this one for him because she liked the gold detailing on the front.
“How are you feeling this morning?” Kofi covered her belly with his hand.
“No morning sickness today.” She barely had a baby bump, but at just past twelve weeks, they felt it was safe to announce to the public that they were having another child. “Can I see the announcement?”
Kofi retrieved the paper from his desk and handed it to her.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Kofi Francois Karunzika and his Great Wife Princess Dahlia Karunzika, are pleased to announce they are expecting their second child. His Majesty King Babatunde and all the royal family are excited by the news and look forward to the new addition with great anticipation.

“Short and to the point. Perfect,” she said.
“Good. We can send out the press release later today.”
“Ready?”
“Not quite.”
Kofi took her by the hand, laced their fingers together, and pulled her in for a kiss. He took his time, leisurely moving his mouth over hers. She enjoyed the interlude, tasting him, and slipped a little tongue between his lips. Kofi reached around and squeezed her bottom before taking a quick nip of her lower lip and pulling back.
“Now I’m ready,” he said.
Giggling, Dahlia exited the office on his arm.
One day a month they surprised visitors touring the palace by greeting them when the doors opened at ten, part of a new policy Dahlia suggested, to have the royal family seem more approachable. Security was already at the door and, at the appointed time, they let in the visitors.
With smiles on their faces, she and Kofi greeted each person, looking them squarely in the eye as they shook their hands.
“Oh my goodness, it’s Princess Dahlia,” a young girl said, her eyes wide. From her accent, Dahlia knew she was from the United States.
“Bahwo,” Dahlia said, by way of greeting. She took the young girl’s hand in hers. “I’m Princess Dahlia Karunzika. Eyeh-kabo. Welcome to The Grand Palace of Zamibia.”
