Writing this book was difficult, not because of the storyline or the characters, but because I wanted to make sure that I portrayed Madison’s pain accurately. I wanted to make sure that as much as you love someone, they can never ‘fix’ you, ‘change’ you, and you shouldn’t allow them to. Focus on yourself before leaning on someone. Love yourself, and that is when someone will love you. Callan and Madison’s journey are extremely personal to me, and for me to be able to share it with you, the reader, I’m deeply humbled.
