“You asked me to.” She smiled and kissed his chin. “No man ever asked me about playful kisses before. So I improvised.”
Noah saw the truth of it in her face. “So, this was all just for me?”
“Don’t get a big head.”
“Oh, that’s not what’s getting big—again.”
“Men.”
“Yes. And glad as hell to be one when you’re around.”
He rolled her over and under him, framing her face with his fingers. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me, Carly. You wreck me every time we’re together. Every time.”
Her expression became serious. “It’s not a game for me with you.”
“You think I don’t know what? This thing between us, I know you feel it too. I’m trying to accept it. I don’t deser—”
She cupped her hand over his mouth. “Either accept it, or get out. It’s a gift. Gifts are flawless.”
He smiled. “Please remind me, every two or three months.”
She quirked a brow. “That’s a big leap.”
“We’ll see.” He waggled his brows at her. “Want to play Hide the Salami?”
“Vegetarian, remember?”
“Hide the Banana?”
