“There are!” Lita said, nodding with approval.
Dagdron was giving Earl a confused look.
“I know I’ve explained to you where Baronville is,” Earl said. “It’s south of Broodavia.”
“Who cares?” Dagdron said.
“You do!” Earl said, smiling and then motioning for them all to step forward so they could have a group hug. Dagdron reluctantly complied. “Good luck, everyone. Let’s stay in touch with the quest tree. I can’t wait to share our adventures. Let’s all leave at once so it’s easier.”
Earl pulled all three of them tight one last time and then broke the hug.
Dagdron headed off to the southwest, Earl to the southeast, Elloriana to the northeast, and Lita to the northwest. Just before they began the descent from the hillside, Earl, Elloriana, and Lita turned around to wave to one another one last time. They all stared after Dagdron, watching his cloak disappear from sight. But then Dagdron’s black hair suddenly reappeared, and he waved his dagger so the others could see.
Earl gave a cheer and Dagdron heard his boots thud down the hillside. Dagdron smiled to himself as he walked down the hill. He pulled his hood over his head and began tossing his dagger in the air as he took the pathway leading to Lushmere.
