I tighten her hand and shift her attention back to me as I smile down on her, playing the nice fiancé in front of strangers.
“Let’s give them space,” I say, and her doe-eyes are wide as she stammers.
“O-oh, okay?” she blinks, “But, dinner?”
The woman’s face brightens, “Oh! You’re getting dinner too? So am I! Would you all like to have dinner with me?”
She is bold, going straight for the heart of the conversation as Romy is a lost duckling in a sea of assertive predators. This woman is one and she has her sight on Kevin who looks mildly awkward with his blush.
I see, a grin forms on my lips.

I never thought about it but being in love with Romy has opened my eyes to things that I didn’t know existed.
