“I’ve checked the immediate area, Sarge,” Jones stated.
“How many sets of footprints went up and down this bank, Jones?”
Jones was taken aback. He’d been in such a hurry to check out the vehicle he hadn’t noticed. “I…I’m not sure.” He shone his flashlight through the air and onto the ground where the footprints were, as if to make up for his shortcoming.
Harrison stood quietly thinking, while Jones and Archer watched him, like trained dogs waiting for their commands.
About the Author
Death and Deceit was originally called Heart On The Line, basically because of the e mail threats and the then emerging era of the Internet. But it didn’t really make sense unless I had changed it to Heart Online, which wasn’t what I wanted to call it either. So recently I changed the title to Death and Deceit because that is what the novel is about.
This novel is set in fictional Nova Scotia towns. Please download a sample of Angel’s Blessing and Heart of Winter if you enjoy romance. Another murder mystery that you might enjoy is Who Wants to Murder a Millionaire?
