Then, when Harry made her his, she felt as if they flew into the sky and touched the stars.

The moon, which had been out of reach, was in her arms and they were both very near to God.

      “I love you – I adore you!”

The words seemed to be whispered on the moonlight.

“My precious, my darling, how can you do this to me?” Harry asked. “I love you as I never thought it possible to love anyone.”

      “I – worship – you,” Teresa murmured.

He saw the expression on her face and knew she spoke the truth.

She had surrendered herself completely and absolutely to him.

He thought again that she was everything he had ever wanted in a wife.

At the same time he knew her brain would inspire him to do great deeds.

They would make the world a better place together because they would both seek perfection.

He was silent, and Teresa whispered,

“Do you – still – love me?”

“I have no words to tell you how much,” Harry said quietly. “You are like the lilies I had put in this room because, my precious, they are a symbol of you – untouched, innocent, and mine – completely and absolutely mine!”

As his lips sought hers, Teresa could feel them igniting little flickering flames within her.

“Love me – Harry – please – go on loving me,” she begged. “I want your love – I cannot live without it.”

“As I could not live without you!” Harry answered.

She felt as if the flickering flames within her were leaping higher.

They were joining with the fire that she knew was burning in Harry.

“I want you, I want you,” he cried, “give me yourself because you are mine – mine, my darling.”

“I am – yours,” Teresa answered, “yours – completely. Oh! Harry – love me. I want to – love you as you – want to be – loved.”

It was difficult to say the words because the ecstasy within her was part of the moonlight.

She knew that Harry was feeling the same.

They were closer than they had ever been, not only with their bodies but also with their minds and their souls.

They were alone with the stars above and the moonlight was taking them into a special Heaven of their own.

      Harry held her closer.

Their love, he knew, would triumph over every difficulty that lay ahead.

The fire that consumed them both leapt higher.

      “I love you – I adore you!”

The words seemed to be murmured all around them and repeated in their hearts. They were one, now and for all Eternity.
