Alec gave his hip a squeeze, and Mark relaxed.
With one last glance at the shifters present, Karin said. “That concludes our investigation. I sincerely hope that you can all come together as one pack under Alpha Harley’s guidance and that we won’t have cause to see any of you in the future.”
She turned to Cam, who had walked up to stand beside Curtis. “Alpha Harley, thank you for your cooperation in this investigation. We will see ourselves out. I believe you have a pack to address.”
Cam nodded in respect. “Thank you.” He waited for Karin and Curtis to leave before clearing his throat and glancing around at his new pack.
Fuck, my new pack.
Mark had hoped for this outcome, but he hadn’t let himself think about it too much. He laced his fingers with Alec’s and their bond flared; Alec’s contentment soothing him inside.
Cam radiated warmth and honesty; so very different from Newell, it was almost laughable. This was what his pack had been missing. This was what they deserved. Mark squeezed Alec’s fingers and leaned back against his chest as Cam’s smile lit up the room.
“Welcome to the new Regent’s Hill pack. I’m honoured to be your alpha.”
