"I'm not sure how you did it," Steve said to her as they approached the hotel.
"Did what?"
"I knew the instant I saw you that there was no way out for me." He squeezed her hand and shot her a beautiful smile.
"Got a thing for blondes?"
"Maybe it's the accent," he teased and winked.
"Whatever it is," she said and brought his knuckles to her lips. "I don't want to find a way out of it. I have a family in those boys. They're everything to me."
"What about the great guy you met in all of this?"
She shrugged. "The jury is still out on that."
He rolled those glorious eyes. "You're brutal to a man's ego, woman. What can I do to convince you?"
More men in black moved toward them from the hotel and she knew their time had come to an end. For now. "Exactly what you're doing. Love me, Steve. That's all I want. That's all I've ever wanted. Well, that and a family. Now I have both."
He grinned and gave her a nod. "I think we can work something out."
And then he kissed her.
