You may have read as well (and I truly hope you did) his past adventures as he wedged his way through the Outmoded Landscape, the Room of the Lost Footsteps, and more recently the Incurable Jumblelium, and so in the hopes to get back to his family . . . These adventures, however, were written by the hand of writer of the novels. Which tells me that you have probably not read Nick Klaus's own writings. And how could you since I just came across them myself? . . . Do you know the places he visited during his trips? Whom he encountered with? And most of all, what were his reflections about having to go through so many incomplete landscapes or to meet so many strange characters? Well . . . here is your chance to catch up. In this volume, you have the opportunity to discover, experience, and learn how Nick Klaus felt during his long journey back home . . . Let me rephrase this as I may have to get back to you on this point. I'm not certain at all he has yet succeeded. Still, he wrote these fables himself for you (that's what he told me), so that you will not have to learn the painstaking lessons that he had to learn all on his own. This collection of timeless fables will teach you just as much about the world you live in as the strange worlds he explored.

A ruthless young assassin continues her journey for revenge in this new epic fantasy from New York Times bestselling author Jay Kristoff. Assassin Mia Corvere has found her place among the Blades of Our Lady of Blessed Murder, but many in the Red Church ministry think she’s far from earned it. Plying her bloody trade in a backwater of the Republic, she’s no closer to ending Consul Scaeva and Cardinal Duomo, or avenging her familia. And after a deadly confrontation with an old enemy, Mia begins to suspect the motives of the Red Church itself. When it’s announced that Scaeva and Duomo will be making a rare public appearance at the conclusion of the grand games in Godsgrave, Mia defies the Church and sells herself to a gladiatorial collegium for a chance to finally end them. Upon the sands of the arena, Mia finds new allies, bitter rivals, and more questions about her strange affinity for the shadows. But as conspiracies unfold within the collegium walls, and the body count rises, Mia will be forced to choose between loyalty and revenge, and uncover a secret that could change the very face of her world. Set in the world of Nevernight, which Publishers Weekly called “absorbing in its complexity and bold in its bloodiness,” Godsgrave will continue to thrill and satisfy fantasy fans everywhere.

If You Don't Have Anything Nice to Say

Before we go any further, I want you to understand this: I am not a good person. We all want to be seen. We all want to be heard. But what happens when we’re seen and heard saying or doing the wrong things? What then? When Winter Halperin—former spelling bee champion, aspiring writer, and daughter of a parenting expert—gets caught saying the wrong thing online, her life explodes. All across the world, people knows what she’s done, and none of them will forgive her. With her friends gone, her future plans cut short, and her identity in shambles, Winter is just trying to pick up the pieces without hurting anyone else. She knows she messed up, but does that mean it’s okay for people to send her hate mail and death threats? Does she deserve to lose all that she’s lost? And is “I’m sorry” ever good enough? First and foremost a novel about public shaming in the internet age, If You Don’t Have Anything Nice to Say is also an exploration of the power of words, the cumulative destructiveness of microaggressions, and the pressing need for empathy.

    Eight Days of Luke

      Diana Wynne Jones
     Eight Days of Luke

There seemed nothing strange about Luke to begin with, except perhaps the snakes. If they were snakes - David wasn't sure. He was just grateful for a companion as agreeable as Luke, who seemed able to twist anyone round his finger, even David's odious relatives. "Just kindle a flame and I'll be with you," Luke said, and he always was - which turned out to be more awkward than useful in the end. For who were the people who seemed to be looking for Luke: the man with one eye; the massive, malevolent gardener, Mr.Chew; the offensively sprightly Frys; the man with ginger hair? Why were there ravens watching, one in front and one at the back gate? And then of course there was the fire...
