     Highway to Hell

Serial killers aren't made, they're born. This is a fact that each of their victims fights helplessly against as they draw their final breath. The Roadside Slasher is just that type of evil. Would you survive an encounter with the ultimate evil, or simply become another notch on his bloodied belt?In a classic game of cat and mouse, the thin line between prey and predator becomes a blurred shadow at best. Serial killers aren't made, they're born. This is a fact that each of their victims fights helplessly against as they draw their final breath. Death is a battle fought by all, but when in the skilled hands of a killer, death becomes a carefully baited performance to be savored in tantalizing bites. The Roadside Slasher is just that type of evil. He is a skilled predator who hunts his prey with a single determination, toying with the minds of the defenseless, as well as the far from innocent. Would you survive an encounter with the ultimate evil, or simply become another notch on his bloodied belt?

    Morning Sickness

      Justin Tate
     Morning Sickness

Denise Perkins is thrilled to be expecting, but her happy pregnancy quickly becomes terrifying when she experiences abnormal morning sickness and an insatiable craving for meat.Blue Blue Sea was a Thoroughbred horse born on January 22, 1999. His sire (father) was Sea Hero who won the Kentucky Derby in 1993 and then won the "summer derby" the Travers Stakes. His dam (mother) was Alytude a decent racehorse whose own sire, Alysheba, won both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes in 1987.Blue Blue Sea never quite achieved major success on the racetrack and was retired by his last owners in 2004. Miranda N. Prather, his human, found him that year via the CANTER website and it was "love" at first site. They shared many adventures together. Blue Blue Sea wouldn't go on to be a jumper or show mount, but he would show his tremendous heart and grit when battling several illnesses, the biggest being a malabsorption disorder that gave him recurring bouts of colic (upset tummy). Blue Blue Sea lived more than seven years longer than some veterinarians thought he would. Sadly and suddenly, Blue Blue Sea died on February 9, 2013, at the age of 14. You can learn more about Blue Blue Sea and other OTTBs at his site: www.facebook.com/blueblueseaottb. Look for an upcoming children's book series based on his life and adventures!

    Different Seasons

      Stephen King
     Different Seasons

A "hypnotic" (The New York Times Book Review) collection of four novellas from Stephen King bound together by the changing of seasons, each taking on the theme of a journey with strikingly different tones and characters. "The wondrous readability of his work, as well as the instant sense of communication with his characters, are what make Stephen King the consummate storyteller that he is," hailed the Houston Chronicle about Different Seasons. This gripping collection begins with "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption," in which an unjustly imprisoned convict seeks a strange and startling revenge—the basis for the Best Picture Academy Award-nominee The Shawshank Redemption. Next is "Apt Pupil," the inspiration for the film of the same name about top high school student Todd Bowden and his obsession with the dark and deadly past of an older man in town. In "The Body," four rambunctious young boys plunge through the façade of a small town and come face-to-face with life, death, and intimations of their own mortality. This novella became the movie Stand By Me. Finally, a disgraced woman is determined to triumph over death in "The Breathing Method."

    The Last Werewolf

      Glen Duncan
     The Last Werewolf

Then she opened her mouth to scream—and recognised me. It was what I’d been waiting for. She froze. She looked into my eyes. She said, “It’s you.” Meet Jake. A bit on the elderly side (he turns 201 in March), but you’d never suspect it. Nonstop sex and exercise will do that for you—and a diet with lots of animal protein. Jake is a werewolf, and after the unfortunate and violent death of his one contemporary, he is now the last of his species. Although he is physically healthy, Jake is deeply distraught and lonely. Jake’s depression has carried him to the point where he is actually contemplating suicide—even if it means terminating a legend thousands of years old. It would seem to be easy enough for him to end everything. But for very different reasons there are two dangerous groups pursuing him who will stop at nothing to keep him alive. Here is a powerful, definitive new version of the werewolf legend—mesmerising and incredibly sexy. In Jake, Glen Duncan has given us a werewolf for the twenty-first century—a man whose deeds can only be described as monstrous but who is in some magical way deeply human. One of the most original, audacious, and terrifying novels in years. From the Hardcover edition.

In "So Near, Anytime, Always," shy teenager Lizbeth meets Desmond, a charming boy who offers this introverted girl the first sparks of young romance.
