     The Dragon Rock

Fantasy novel about wisdom, power, adventure, courage and human spirit, set in the gravely endangered world of sorcerers, warriors, dragons and monsters. A sorcerer called Arios the Black and a prince called Orin ar den Raamternan embark upon a deathly adventure which will decide the fate of their world, although not in the way they expected...Orin ar den Raamternan is a prince obsessed with desire to gain absolute power, intending to use it to bring peace to the world.A mysterious visitor entices him to search for the Ring of the Kings, an artefact made in the dawn of time, which loans the ultimate power to its owner. However, to find the Ring, the prince first has to find a mountain called the Dragon Rock.He embarks on the quest in the company of his guards, but, as they reach the slopes of the Blue Mountains, an enormous mountain range which blocks the way to the Dragon Rock, the wolves slaughter the whole guard and the prince himself barely survives. These are the circumstances in which Arios the Black, a reclusive goat-herd from the Blue Mountains, finds the prince. Haunted by the sight of the enormous Dragon Rock on the horizon, Arios is an ex-sorcerer who, because of the disaster he unwillingly caused, utterly abandoned the sorcery and isolated himself from the world.Driven by the desire to find a way of breaking the pattern of his lonely life, Arios joins Orin in the quest for the Dragon Rock. In the chain of events that follows that decision, Arios and Orin cross the Blue Mountains, travel through war-stricken lands, survive many perilous confrontations with strange enemies and allies even stranger, and finally confront the army of the evil Lord of Doom, coming to an unexpected end of their quest. "The Dragon Rock" is a fantasy novel written by Croatian author Aleksandar Budjanovac (1963 - 2009), Ph.D., professor of psychology, writer, martial art master and guitar player. In this novel, he explores the nature of power, wisdom, and reckless and curious human spirit, as well as the nature of good and evil. Although the novel is relatively short, it is action-packed, sprinkled with pearls of wisdom, and full of unexpected twists and turns. Told in smooth narrative, this is a novel which will enchant the reader from the first to the last page. The novel is now published by Aleksandar's brother, Nebojša, also a Croatian writer.

No demons, please. In his debut appearance, Eric has entered the exciting world of real-estate, looking to set up a new safehouse.      Into the Mist

Before the walls went up...there were adventures. Follow young Thomas Warvold and his brother as they journey through Elyon, discovering new mysteries, new challenges, and new magical creatures that will change the course of their fate...and the fate of their land. From a humble and unexplained childhood in a very strange orphanage to a series of fearless escapes to a quest full of riddles and exploration, Thomas and Roland find that their identity--and the mysterious tattoos on their knees--are linked to a much greater history than they ever would have guessed. One brother, Thomas, is destined for adventure on land, while the other brother, Roland, is destined for adventure on sea. But before this happens, they must journey into the mist...and find the truth about both their past and their future. Note: Although this seems like a prequel, it is integrual to the Land of Elyon Series as book #4. [Author notes in a video blog at http://www.patrickcarman.com/wp-conte..., about the series reading order that the books in the original trilogy (The Dark Divide #1, Beyond The Valley of Thorns #2 and The Tenth City #3) should be read in that order and that Stargazer #4 read after the original trilogy. Otherwise is up to reader preference. Into The Mist, is a chronological prequel to the trilogy, but the story is told by characters on the boat where The Tenth City left off; it can be read before or after the original trilogy.]

    The Whispering Swarm

      Michael Moorcock
     The Whispering Swarm

Almost anyone who has read or written science fiction or fantasy has been inspired by the work of Michael Moorcock. His literary flair and grand sense of adventure have been evident since his controversial first novel Behold the Man, from the stories and novels featuring his most famous character, Elric of Melniboné, to his fantasy masterpiece, Gloriana, winner of both the Campbell Memorial and World Fantasy awards for best novel. Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, and Michael Chabon all cite Moorcock as a major influence; as editor of New Worlds magazine, he helped launch the careers of many of his contemporaries, including Harlan Ellison, Philip K. Dick, and J. G. Ballard. Moorcock's first independent novel in nine years is a tale both fantastical and autobiographical, a celebration of London and what it meant to be young there in the years after World War II. The Whispering Swarm is the first in a trilogy that will follow a young man named Michael as he simultaneously discovers himself and a secret realm hidden deep in the heart of London.
