     A Mother's Love

Living in the faithless world her son creates, Rosetta struggles to love her son as only a mother could, with the principles of love, patience, and above all else, faith.A mother can only do so much to survive in a world without faith and hope, but what is a mother to do when the very person who created this horrible world, is her very own son? A Mother's Love follows the woman, Rosetta, as she watches her son grow into a cruel and powerful man. Blaming herself for her child’s horrid transformation, she continues to try and mother the monstrous man in her hope to change him.     The Foreseer

      Rae Avery
     The Foreseer

This is a fictional short story about a young girl who learns about her gift of foresight. While the runes technically start with the F rune, this story was the first that came to my muse for translation. Anei will overcome a painful initiation and learn the history of her destiny as a Rune Messenger. This is a short story about Anei, a young girl plagued with an ability to dream events before they happen. She learns from a mysterious stranger that this is actually a gift from the Northern Gods that she will need to help bring back the wisdom of the Runes. Through the Order of Odin, with the first appearance being a dreadfully painful experience, Anei will start on her journey to being the traveling messenger for the others. Anei will need to prepare for a life that will be much different from the one she imagined for herself. At the end, you will find a brief commentary about the rune. Please keep in mind that the runes are complex and rich with symbolism and practicality, so interpretations will be different.

    A Lion Among Men

      Gregory Maguire
     A Lion Among Men

In this much-anticipated third volume of the Wicked Years, we return to Oz, seen now through the eyes of the Cowardly Lion - the once tiny cub defended by Elphaba in Wicked. While civil war looms, a tetchy oracle named Yackle prepares for death. Before her final hour, an enigmatic figure known as Brrr - the Cowardly Lion - arrives searching for information about Elphaba Thropp, the Wicked Witch of the West. As payment, Yackle demands some answers of her own. Brrr surrenders his story: abandoned as a cub, his earliest memories are gluey hazes, and his life's path is no Yellow Brick Road. A Lion Among Men chronicles a battle of wits hastened by the Emerald City's approaching armies. At once a portrait of a would-be survivor and a panoramic glimpse of a world gone shrill with war fever, Gregory Maguire's new novel is written with the sympathy and power that have made his books contemporary classics.

Peter Grant is back as are Nightingale et al. at the Folly and the various river gods, ghosts and spirits who attach themselves to England's last wizard and the Met's reluctant investigator of all things supernatural.

    Gwarcheidial Book 1

      Frederick Fuller
     Gwarcheidial Book 1

This is the first book that I wrote, and it took me three full years to write and is called “Gwarcheidial.” This word translated from the ancient Welsh language means Guardian. And is about an old Wizard, and then along comes those that have the knowing of all things and decide that it’s time for him to do what he was born to do. Witches, Sorcerers and Demons summoned from the depths.A ship of explorers has crash-landed onto K24B, a planet full of vast plains and lush forests teaming with countless new species. The knowledge-hungry survivors soon discover that danger lurks in the shadows. People are taken in the night and some simply disappear without a trace – a heightened sense of desperation sets in with each person lost. Every breath becomes a matter of survival for those that remain. “A Matter of Survival” is the second story in “The Extraterrestrial Anthology, Volume I: Temblar.” The anthology contains ten short stories to make you think and tremble.
