     Sundowning Diary-part 1

"Sundowning diary" portrays the life of a young billionaire who suffers from severe form of dementia called sundowning syndrome and have been in a constant chase of a sunlight for almost 10 years , traveling all around the world to avoid the sunset. Some people are born gifted, just as little Jimmie was, but the gift he was born with wasn’t the kind of gift Jimmie was hoping for. His gift was knowing when someone was going to die, just by looking into their eyes.It all started when Jimmie was five years old and had just moved into a new home. His gift came to him in a dream, so he thought. Jimmie’s bed was sitting in the very spot where a pentagram was drawn in blood from a human sacrifice that was held just months before his family moved in.The previous owners were getting too many complaints about hearing screams in the night, so they decided if they were going to continue with these human sacrifices, they may want to move out to the country so the screams would go unnoticed. The owner laid new carpet in the room to cover up the pentagram so the new owners wouldn’t be suspicious. As Jimmie’s family was unpacking boxes, a neighbor came by and welcoming them to the neighborhood. Jimmie looked at the man’s face and he ran over to his mother, throwing his arms around her leg.

    The Women's War

      Alexandre Dumas
     The Women's War

The Baron des Canolles is a man torn apart by the civil war that dominates mid-seventeenth century France. For while the naïve Gascon soldier cares little for the politics behind the battles, he is torn apart by a deep passion for two powerful women on opposing sides of the war: Nanon de Lartigues, a keen supporter of the Queen Regent Anne of Austria, and the Victomtesse de Cambes, who supports the rebellious forces of the Princess de Condé. Set around Bordeaux during the first turbulent years of the reign of Louis XIV, The Women's War sees two women taking central stage in a battle for all France. Humorous, dramatic and romantic, it offers a compelling exploration of political intrigue, the power of redemption, the force of love and the futility of war.

     The Chimera's Curse

Connie Lionheart is the only Universal Companion, able to communicate with all of the mythical creatures hidden in our world. She’s the most important member of the secret society sworn to protect the bonds between humans and creatures. But the shape-shifter Kullervo wants to use her power to wipe out humanity. Connie must stop him, but how? There are no simple answers in the exciting conclusion to this award-winning eco-fantasy series by a Nestlé Prize-winning author. *"Come to the mark. Come to me. You know you must. Connie surfaced from sleep, struggling like a swimmer caught in weeds, thrashing to reach air. When she woke, she found the bedclothes twisted around her. She threw them off and sat up to gulp some water from the glass on her bedside table, her handshaking slightly. The voice had crept into her dreams again: the voice of Kullervo, the shape-shifter, her enemy—and her companion creature. He said the same thing each time, repeating the message again and again so that she could hear its echo during the daylight hours as well as in the stillness of the night. She knew where he wanted her to go: he wanted her to meet him at the mark he had made deep in her mind, the breach in the wall between her and his dark presence. But she would not give in to him." *

Hidden agendas. Thieves. Murder. Revenge. What do those all have in common? A Whisper in the Dark. The small city of Tulle-sur-Mer. Winding city streets. The Blue Sparrow Inn. A secret passage. An agent of the Queen. A man in disguise. Long forgotten catacombs. Dusty bones. Large rats. Hidden agendas. Thieves. Murder. Revenge. What do those all have in common? A Whisper in the Dark.Stopping for the night after a weary day of travel should have been a trivial thing. For Navarr Doucette, an agent of the Queen on a secret assignment, he soon finds that it's quite the contrary when staying at the Blue Sparrow Inn. What should have been a quiet night of sleep before returning to the road in the morning soon turns into a frantic night of mystery and survival.A Whisper in the Dark is a thrilling tale of chilling suspense, dark mystery, and sinister intrigue.FROM THE AUTHOR:I became a fan of Alexander Dumas and his tales of the musketeers in my late teens. At that time I was also heavily into fantasy and supernatural tales, much like you would read in stories by Robert E. Howard, H.P. Lovecraft, Edgar Allen Poe, and R.A. Salvatore. From those five various authors and their influences I created the protagonist Navarr Doucette, as seen in A WHISPER IN THE DARK. I started writing stories about Navarr in various lengths from shorts to full novels back in 1994. Since then the world around him has been heavily fleshed out, and is very similar to Europe in the 1600s. In my stories many of the superstitions that people had during that era are not just superstitions and false fears as we know them to be today. In Navarr's world they exist, and things can be dark, mysterious, and downright evil.

    Two in the Bush (Bello)

     Two in the Bush (Bello)

Two in the Bush is a record of the six-month journey which took Gerald Durrell, his wife Jacquie, and two cameramen through New Zealand, Australia and Malaya. The object was, first, to see what was being done about the conservation of wild life in these countries, and, secondly, to make a series of television films for the BBC. They were introduced to many rare and remarkable animals – Royal Albatrosses, Tuataras, Duck-Billed Platypuses, Flying Lizards and Long-Nosed Bandicoots, as well as to some equally unusual humans. Anyone who has read The Overloaded Ark, The Bafut Beagles or The Whispering Land will have enjoyed Gerald Durrell’s enthusiastic adventuring and his delight in the absurdity of the situations in which he finds himself. His observation of animal – and human – behaviour is always informative and often hilarious. Gerald Durrell was one of Britain’s best-loved naturalists, whose books, including My Family and Other Animals, continue to entertain and amuse generations of children and adults alike. Fifteen of his classic titles have now been republished by Bello. ‘Delightfully readable and often very funny.’ *Daily Mail * ‘An account of Gerald Durrell’s tour of New Zealand, Australia and Malaya in search of rarities . . . Easy to read, difficult to put down, with many vivid sidelights on the human side of the expedition. This absorbing narrative reveals the ardours, ironies and disappointments, the organizational miracles and the hilarious human mishaps . . .’ Maurice Wiggin, *Sunday Times * ‘Mr Durrell has the knack of writing about animals and their antics with tremendous affection and enthusiasm, but without sentimentality.’ *Sunday Telegraph * ‘Will delight his fans and armchair naturalists everywhere.’ Evening Standard
