The Necroscope's been asked to solve the crimes...asked by the dead spirits of the madman's victims. Harry cannot turn down a request from the dead...even if it costs him his soul. In the climactic battle with the vampires, mankind prevailed and purged the vampires from earth--thanks to Harry, his team of psychically-gifted spies, and Faethor Ferenczy, long-dead 'father' of the world's vampires, who betrayed his own kind.     Journey into the Deep

      Guy S. Stanton III
     Journey into the Deep

"As it was in the days of Noah,so it will be ..." - Matt 24:32A Bible story ...... a Greek myth ...... and a treasure hunt!Put it all together, and you have a recipe for fantasy explosion! In a dusty attic there lies the means by which to access another world. A sunken world long unvisited by man. There is a choice to be made between good and evil, a choice that could alter the very existence of mankind, as it did once before. An ancient evil no less potent with the passing of time is ready to be unleashed on the world of men once again and yet there is hope. Hope, that is, if the right choices are made.Eli didn’t care about much. In fact his continued existence depended on not being put in a position to care about the greater outcome of life around him, which had stolen from him what he loved most in life, his family. Now his family consisted of an unlikely pairing of misfits, who make up the crew of his salvage ship, Celestia’s Prize. He needs money, if he hopes to keep up with the payments on his ship and the avoidance of the life he once lived on land. His wish is to remain at sea away from the world and the painful memories of his past. Those in desperate need of money are not known for wise decision making so when Eli catches the hint of a Civil War era treasure fleet enroute for England from the beleaguered Southern Confederacy, in a desperate bid to buy the allegiance of the English Crown into joining in on the side of the South, he’s more than intrigued by the salvage opportunities to be had. The treasure fleet disappeared, but now, thanks to research and some speculative instincts, he now has the key by which to find it. At least he thinks so, but treasure, so often illusive, weaves a tale of a different nature. A tale of greed and enslavement by one’s fellow man and the gateway to a possession that chains the soul and unleashes hell.

    Michael Remembers Books 1

      Vassar Smith
     Michael Remembers Books 1

MICHAEL REMEMBERS is not just an amusing science-fiction novel but also a scathing social satire decrying the corruption and subversion of America's once-vaunted legal, judicial, and political system. The Retrogression Procedure is allegorical for the draconian sentences handed down routinely by judges nowadays.Book 1At the beginning of the 24th Century, when Michael Tadlock is born, the world is plagued by the double scourge of crime at an all-time high and human fertility at an all-time low. When he is ten years old, a scientific breakthrough is announced--the Retrogression Procedure—which, society believes, will signi¬ficantly alleviate both problems. Thereafter, those who are convicted of major crimes are retrogressed instead of serving long prison terms. This medical procedure transforms the subject's body back into what it was at 1/10 the subject's present age. Well-educated, cultured, kind, and witty, Michael Tadlock is nevertheless too fond of living "the good life" and too smart for his own good. Both at 27 and (again!) at 50, he commits horrendous illegal financial manipulations, for which he is arrested, tried, convicted, and retrogressed. The first Procedure transforms his body back to himself as a two-year-old; the second one (23 years later reverts him to himself as a five-year-old. In both instances Michael retains his adult mind and previous sense of identity and must adapt to living in a child's environment, going back to school, obeying well-intentioned but flawed adoptive parents, and trying to avoid or overcome the growing prejudice and hostility that so many "normal" people now harbor against retros.

    The Air-Raid Shelters

      Gerrard Wllson
     The Air-Raid Shelters

At school, playing inside the air-raid shelters was expressly forbidden, on orders from our headmistress, Sister Alexis. Whilst most of the time we obeyed this rule without question, realising it was there for a good reason, because the air-raid shelters were is a bad state of repair, we sometimes found it impossible to fight the temptation, the urge to go inside and explore...I went to school at St Ignatius, Sunbury-on-Thames, Middlesex, England. It was an old school, a wonderfully, quirky old school. Although the Second World War had finished twenty years previous, there were still air-raid shelters in the school grounds, two of them to be exact. Yes, we really did have air-raid shelters! These shelters sat firmly entrenched at the beginning and end of our school playing field. They were a fascination to each and every one of us. We played around them, on top and them and sometimes even ventured inside of them.

Paradon: The Unexpected Chronicle follows the story of two brothers. Circumstances and unfortunate factors set these two on a collision course. This showdown will mark the end of the chronicle and a new beginning.SynopsisThis is a chronicle set in a world called Paradon. It is a tale of two brothers, Allan and Elis, the sons of a great king. The narrative begins with a massive battle that heavily impacts the world, including people’s mindsets and core values. The aftermath of war urges people towards a somewhat peaceful but uncertain future, and this is the world that the two brothers grow up in. But due to circumstances and the varied characters of the brothers, the two travel down different paths. These paths eventually lead them to clash with one another. Allan walks down a more positive and sanctioned path, groomed for power since birth, loved by his father and having lasting favour of the people. Elis takes a darker route and falls under wrong guidance. Elis’s perceptions are coloured by his own ambitions, and his father’s greater love for his brother. These trajectories carry Allan and Elis though childhood, their teenage years and into young adulthood, finally culminating in conflict. Throughout their experiences, Allan and Elis form friendships and make enemies. Intense battles signal endings and beginnings in the story, paving the way for further confrontation, shaping the young adulthoods of the brothers before their own collision with one another. Qualities such as friendship and love are valued and embraced in this story by the characters. However, qualities such as intrigue, jealousy, hatred compromise relationships between characters and further escalate tensions.Events lead to a final showdown between the two brothers, the main protagonists. This showdown decides their future and marks the end of the chronicle.
