A quick little tale about a sadistic dentist whose time has come to pay the piper. When James Peter Matthews, a senior at Tech U. , confesses to his parents that he is an atheist…well they don’t take the news very well. His Mom cried for a week, his name was plastered all over the church prayer lists, and his entire family was on his case about it. After several weeks of vainly trying to convince his family that he was right, James has an ingenious (and admittedly crazy) idea – travel forward in time and bring back irrefutable evidence that God doesn’t exist. Will James’ plan succeed? Can he actually manage to travel forward in time? And if so, will he find the answers that he seeks, or merely more questions? Come follow James’ thought provoking, yet humorous, tale and find out.

    An Android Dog's Tale

      D.L. Morrese
$value['title']

The Corporation made him to observe humans and make sure they weren’t up dangerous things like inventing, exploring, or learning to read. But as the years go by and he works with them day after day, century after century, he grows to like them. Is it right to keep them happy but ignorant? Shouldn’t this be a choice they make for themselves?MO-126 is a dog, or a reasonable facsimile thereof. He is a construct and an employee of the Galactic Organic Development Corporation, which searches the galaxy for primitive sentient species to save from extinction and then creates colonies of them on Corporation agricultural planets where they can live happily and safely. The transplanted species survives, and its members produce some of the most expensive and sought-after food in the galaxy, which the Corporation profitably sells to developed worlds with this guarantee:Caringly grown, cultivated and harvested by simple sentient life forms. No artificial ingredients, pesticides, herbicides, or mechanized equipment used in processing.Guaranteed 100% organic. Of course, keeping the primitives primitive enough to ensure the Corporation’s promise of natural purity can be a challenge, especially when they’re like those it found twenty thousand years ago huddling in caves and scraping a meager and precarious existence on a pale blue planet in the Milky Way’s Orion–Cygnus spiral arm. The humans keep trying to change things. This is the 15,000-year episodic tale of one canine mobile observer android who must make choices about what he wants to accomplish in his artificial life. Does he accept the wisdom of his makers or does he dare to question?D.L. Morrese’s lighthearted stories are unique—soft science fiction counter-fantasies, which poke good-natured fun at the serious tone and dependence on magic common to many epic fantasy adventure genre novels. With their charming and truly likeable characters, witty, intelligent humor, and prose style blending positive science fiction and epic fantasy elements, these books are a delight, perfect for both science fiction and fantasy readers yearning for something fresh and different.

I was fortunate enough to spend the first thirty years of my life in the English Lake District. I find Lake District books a bit boring which is why I like to write them in this caricature style which is a lot more interesting and entertaining (I find ... you get the info plus the fun). Much more interesting. Enjoy the ditty. It isn’t very long, but I know how to use it.I was fortunate enough to spend the first thirty years of my life in the English Lake District. I hung out with the sheep farmers in the hills, shot clay pigeons and stray farm hands on their land, told and listened to stories in the pubs. Joss Naylor, an old mate of mine who is in this story would probably laugh his head off at it, after all, he was involved in the World’s Biggest Liar competition. I say probably because there is always the hope that he might sue me and do me a favour by dragging my name through the silage using some hick Lawyer who represented the alleged guilty in the Texas chainsaw incident. I find Lake District books a bit boring which is why I like to write them in this caricature style which is a lot more interesting and entertaining (I find ... you get the info plus the fun). As you reach the top of Hardknott pass, you can turn and look back down at Eskdale Grike and Gragley Rock. It is a fine example of a glacial groove Zzzzzzz! My version: As you reach the top of Hardknott, you can turn and look back down to Eskdale Grike and Gragley Rock ... and see a ‘black magically’ given life, Swiss Army sheep keyring featuring a deadly bottle opener, a knife and something for getting sheep out of Chelsea Tractor wheel arches. It was lost by a tourist, found and energised by a Warlock sheep farmer ... it’s heading YOUR way! Soon you will be in the hands of Lake District Pagans, and later that day, campers on the lower lands will say ‘Wow! Look at that fire on top of Hardknott!’Much more interesting. Enjoy the ditty. It isn’t very long, but I know how to use it.And, if you ever catch Joss Naylor rooting through your bins ... please tell him.

      Greg Cox
$value['title']

KHAN'S LAST STAND!Jacqueline Bundy "The Trekker Newsletter" Lightning can indeed strike twice in the same place, as THE EUGENICS WARS: The Rise and Fall of Khan Noonien Singh, Volume Two proves to be every bit as exciting, entertaining, and humorous as the first volume of this saga. The second portion of this engrossing story takes the reader from the beginnings of Khan's consolidation of his power, through the events that lead to his flight from Earth on the DY-100-class sleeper ship "S.S. Botany Bay." From beginning to end, this novel is eminently satisfying.... Kilian Melloy "wigglefish.com" An ingenious blend of actual history and Trek mythology...Volume Two is an audacious, fast-moving conclusion to the "Eugenics Wars" duology, one-upping the considerable dramatic intensity and inventive accomplishment of the first volume, and bringing the story to a remarkably smooth, coherent conclusion....Cox's electric, fun-loving style of storytelling is the perfect medium to take the reader into the twenty-first century and beyond. Michelle Erica Green "Trek Nation" Just as much fun as its predecessor, weaving Trek history in and out of recent headlines, mostly through the point of view of one of history's more entertaining secret agents, Teri Garr look-alike Roberta Lincoln....Cox's obvious affection for Trek comes through as strongly as his knowledge.
