A short story. My first.A simple re-telling of the age-old tale of young love.

Unlike some other reproductions of classic texts (1) We have not used OCR(Optical Character Recognition), as this leads to bad quality books with introduced typos. (2) In books where there are images such as portraits, maps, sketches etc We have endeavoured to keep the quality of these images, so they represent accurately the original artefact. Although occasionally there may be certain imperfections with these old texts, we feel they deserve to be made available for future generations to enjoy.

A wonderful love story. And one that might have a happy ending. The reader will see if they do live happily ever after or they don’t. They might. The story has a would-be lover who talks about politics and is a general boor. How can he keep his girlfriend he adores? Perhaps by reinventing himself. Or is he never really going to change and always be a boor.
