“Let’s start this place on nonexistent fire. ” “Promise. ” She sucked in an excited breath. We closed our eyes and I placed my feverish mouth to hers. Immediately, violent, zealous flashes of shimmering flames climbed to the furthest point, trailed like rain down the pitched ceiling and spilled down the walls, gathering at their feet, pools of fervent, bubbling, silvery liquid electricity, before evaporating into nothing. Elliott Gray is incomplete, scrambling through the dark on his hands and knees, blindly feeling for the switch it would take to bring the peace he's forever been searching for. Julia Jacobs is unhappy, missing a noticeable piece of her soul, a naked canvas with vivid paints at her disposal but no brush to assemble the vision. At a young age, courtesy of an unknowing Elliott Gray, Julia tastes the burn of heartache and since then, has silently vowed to her heart that it would never be susceptible to such pain again but when Julia and Elliott discover they share a supernatural connection that's never been revealed before, Elliott makes it his life's goal to convince her they are fated. He knows, if she only gave him but one chance to prove himself, she would not be afraid but when Elliott's best friend Jesse Thomas turns out to be much more than meets the eye, it's all Elliott can do to hold on to his new love, while attempting to survive an enormous threat on their future.

    Incident at Walter's Creek

      Mark Jacobs
$value['title']

What really happened on that remote Tennessee farmstead on a chilly fall night in 1828? Sixteen years later, Zacharias Neil, Andrew Jackson Thomkins, and Zack’s little brother, Aaron, are determined to find out. An eerie tale of paranormal terror. Warning for mild language and strong dialect.Kristen's life gets more complicated as she deals with losing the only man she's really ever loved....her father, only to find out that almost everything she has ever known was a lie. Her only ally as she's running to save her life from someone trying to kill her is her father's neighbor, an ex-police officer and writer, who knows just how to get under Kristen's skin. Circumstances push the two together and they learn that they are more compatible than they first thought. This book is a novella, or about 27,000 words, and is filled with love, passion, intrigue and mystery.Sample Preview: Although it was a beautiful autumn day, it felt more like spring as Kristen Casey walked down the sidewalk. The only real difference was that the trees had shed their normal shades of green for more bold and brilliant ambers, oranges and reds. Kristen passed an elderly couple who gave her a sympathetic smile, which she politely returned. It was odd that a place so beautifully landscaped couldn’t be more appreciated by its visitors. The lawn had all been freshly mowed and the scent of fresh-cut grass was in the air. Kristen found herself transported briefly back in time to when she was in elementary school. She would walk from her father’s house everyday to school. For a short-cut, she would cut through an apartment complex where at least twice a week, they were cutting their grass. The smell, to her, meant that spring had arrived. Towards the end of the school year, she would always be so restless because all she wanted to do was be outside, where she could enjoy all that nature offered her. She’d give anything to be that naïve, playfully restless girl once more. But, she wasn’t a little girl anymore. She was twenty-eight, and had learned the hard way that life wasn’t just full of sunshine and rainbows. And nothing demonstrated that better than where she was right now. Even though she was surrounded by sunshine, a bright blue sky, freshly mowed lawn and well manicured topiaries, she was also surrounded by pain and sorrow. Kristen looked around. She had a habit of reading the names and messages on the carved pieces of stone. She could only imagine how many lives were affected by all of the names before her. “I’m here, Dad,” she said as she placed the flowers she had been carrying next to her recently deceased father’s headstone.     A new algorithm for developing multiobjective models with utility function in fuzzy environment for distribution centers location problem

$value['title']

A new algorithm for developing multiobjective models with utility function in fuzzy environment for distribution centers location problemA new algorithm for developing multiobjective models with utility function in fuzzy environment for distribution centers location problemABSTRACTSince now, cost, distance, time, and other objective data have played an important role in location theory as objective functions in the location models. However, they are not sufficient in facing with real world. One of the most important parameter in order to make applicable models is considering qualitative aspects which are called subjective data and they have not been considered seriously. As decision makers’ opinions are one of the most effective subjective data in the location decision, it will be a significant issue to present new models which are considering decision makers’ opinions. In this paper, we present a two-phase algorithm which is able to quantify decision makers’ opinions via fuzzy theory in first phase and construct a multi-objective model by inserting the quantified opinions in a basic distribution centre location model and solve it with LP-metric method in second phase. Finally, a numerical example is expressed for illustration of the proposed method. Also, five more numerical examples are created in order to give more details.KEYWORDS: Distribution centers location problem, multi-objective decision making (MODM), fuzzy AHP.

When he learns of a plan to end his command Savage deserts and the war takes on a completely different dimension. There are many who call the realms their home. Trolls, Orcs, Giants and others in vast numbers roam, all born of differing minds, differing attitudes, differing appetites. One significant group is the Elvin. Their kind invented the Assassins Guild and are killers of legendary status. They are guided by a principle which has given them power but some are not pleased. Inside their ranks another sect has taken form, one more sinister, one more deadly, one with the desire to rule all.Wort and Stu are anything but heroes. They are short, squat and possess nothing in the way of savior qualities. They are, however, all Mother Nature can spare. Their journey begins as they flee the castle. They have a message to deliver and little time to perform the task. They believe they’ve gotten away without anyone the wiser. They are wrong. Another has taken notice and the games have just begun. So begins the War of Realms where creatures of nightmares stalk the land, fairy tales come to life and the forces of good oppose those who are not.

White Christmas - a short story

      EH Walter
$value['title']

See the other side of a Victorian Christmas through a housekeeper's eyes.Christmas is the biggest day of the year for Felicity and all the other servants at the de Veyney London house. There is food to prepare and guests to accomodate, including drunken cousins and amorous sisters. But no matter who they are or what their position, they all long for a white Christmas.Suitcase Tales is a collection a quirky poetic tales inspired by people watching and drinking coffee at an airport. It is amazing what people can really get up to inside an airport. A dark, disturbing but sensuous surrealistic read. A reality check. Split into two parts this collection will have you either laughing or crying. It is evocative to say the least. Part One contains five tales about five different people – all fictional and all quite strange in their own little ways. Part Two contains two surreal tales. They are all poetic and darkly humorous, at times touching on absurd, but they do have an underlying serious tone. They poke beneath the surface of humanity. We are all real people with real feelings and at times those feelings are strange and human behaviour can sometimes become irrational. Going to the airport to catch a flight for your holiday is great and it is good fun, but sometimes the inside of an airport can act as a refuge for some, and sometimes people around you can wonder off into their own madness. The Woman With The Bottle Of Wine tells a quirky sad story. What if a person from another country has nowhere to hide and the only option is to jump on a plane to England? Why has she come? What does she do when she gets here? How do the airport employees in this tale react to this when they find her intoxicated with alcohol inside Weatherspoons? Exemption - explores the theme of control and how authoritative members of society try to use their power at times. Is there a time when all humans should be treated as equal and why do some think they are better than others? This quirky tale relies heavily on characterisation of its main character and how he sees himself as opposed to others whilst going through airport security. How will he react when he is asked to be searched? Now Everybody Knows - is a quirky story that pokes well beneath the surface of humanity and explores the real life issue of paranoia. A man who lives alone hears knocking on his front door and realises when peeping through the spy hole that his neighbours have a letter for him. What does he do after the letter flies through his letter box and he hears his neighbours shuffling around next door? Too Late - is a quirky tale which explores madness and loneliness. When security manager, Edward takes a break from duty to go and find his friend in Burger King, his behaviour becomes irrational due to his friend not turning up. Touches on the absurd. Gifts - is a beautiful descriptive tale about a man who has taken up residence at the airport. People pass. People stop. Some stare at the bandages he is wearing. Others pass him pretty parcels wrapped in delicate ribbons. What are these gifts? What does he do with them? The City - will take you on a curious ride through Liverpool and the Amazon Jungle. This is a surreal tale written in a stream of consciousness style. It is vibrant with senses and colour and explores one of the downsides of life. Crossroads - is a heart wrenching story of a young woman who crosses the railway lines to find her lost lover. When she discovers his presence in a Doffidil beside her she takes desperate measure to join him. Full of poetry and wonderful images.

Author Bryan Cohen has watched every episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and it shows in the first book of his new series.Q & A with the AuthorQ - How would you describe the Ted Saves the World series?A - That's a stumper! I've always loved reading books and watching TV shows that mix genres together. It's like a buffet. How can you choose just one? Ted Saves the World is a combination of several different genres. It has the elements of a YA sci-fi fantasy series, but you might also call it a collection of paranormal books for teens and young adults. I've always loved horror books for teens and coming of age series best sellers as well, so you'll find a few dashes of each in the series too.Q - Why did you want to write superhero novels?A - I love challenges. Every year, I try to take on something new. I'd written some nonfiction, but I wanted to try writing young adult books for boys and girls alike. That's why it was important for me to write super-powered male and female characters. Also, given the recent boom of Marvel superheroes on the big screen, I wanted to take my own crack at the genre.Q - What does it mean to you when readers buy your books?A - It's an honor. Who knows if I'll ever be one of the young adult best sellers at the top of the list, but it's so amazing to see people reading my books. Like most writers, I used to think I wasn't good enough, so I didn't try. With the encouragement of my friends, family members, and readers, I was able to give this series a go. I'm eternally grateful for each reader who puts my books on their virtual shelf.Ted Saves the World YA Sci-Fi Fantasy Series eBook Categories:- Superhero Novels- YA Sci-Fi Fantasy Series- Paranormal Books for Teens and Young Adults- Young Adult Best Sellers- Horror Books for Teens- Coming of Age Series Best Sellers- Young Adult Books for Boys
